In the 15th century Vingegård was owned by the family Reventlow. During the civil war known as the Count’s War 1534-1536 [Da: Grevens Fejde] Vingegård was probably attacked and burned to the ground. In 1656 Erik Grubbe, who owned the larger manor Tjele, also became owner of Vingegård. From then on Vingegård was a secondary estate farm under the entailed estate Tjele. Vingegård was finally sold off in 1964, and today is used for farming.
