Stenumgård is a manor located in western Jutland and dates back to the 16th century. In 1670 the wealthy merchant Christen Linde bought Stenumgård. This was the first of several manors that he owned in the Central and Western Jutland. The main building of Stenumgård is from 1810 and was built not long before the manor was taken over by the state until 1825. The reason was owner Christian Wads financial troubles due to the economic crisis of 1818-1828.
